When my father, Joe Joo-Hwa Jeong, was first starting his business in the late eighties, he experimented with various design styles and in this piece wanted to incorporate elements of Hawai'i in the form of utilizing the honu design, as well as hibiscus and cross. My personal fave aspect of this piece is the Hawaiian heritage scroll etched bail that adds a fun eye-catching element to this already statement pendant.
