Kuʻuipo is the Hawaiian word for “my sweetheart” or “my beloved.” Rooted in the poetic and affectionate nature of the Hawaiian language, it expresses more than romantic love—it is a tender declaration of deep connection, endearment, and cherished intimacy. Whether softly sung or spoken between lovers, kuʻuipo captures the soulful essence of aloha, the language of the heart.

Those of you who follow us and are from Hawaiʻi, kuʻuipo is a familiar word—often engraved on sample pieces at Hawaiian Heirloom jewelry stores. Growing up as a shop kid, I encountered this word constantly in my parents’ stores. Naming this collection KUʻUIPO is my tribute to a beautiful word that has long embodied love and memory—now reflected in a curated selection of vintage and contemporary pieces from my parents’ archives.
