A total of 30 pieces of facet cut amethyst beads interchanged with mini disc shaped amethyst beads come together via multiple strands of a mix of various semi-precious colored stones from amethyst to multicolored jade to freshwater pearls to meet at the focal point of this piece which is a jade disc. This jade disc features a hand carved scene of a woodland creature lingering on the edge of a leaf, but (according to my father) it is emblematic of the shisa (Uchinanchu, or Okinawan, dragon) that is representative of good fortune.
