Summer of 2008, I can still recall hearing this song everywhere while I was studying abroad doing a summer student exchange program in Tokyo, Japan. Ponyo had just been released and people were raving about this animation that I would come to love and be in absolute awe of the visuals. Miyazaki truly never fails in delivering the best with his and his team's artistry.
When looking at this ring, initially it felt like the movement of waves. But a closer look made me think of Ponyo in her goldfish form.
