Description

The ipu is a traditional Hawaiian musical instrument, a percussion instrument made from dried gourds, used primarily to provide rhythm for chants and hula dances.

These earrings emulate the single gourd ipu heke ʻole. Featuring traditional wave-like textures in cut outs throughout the piece, as well as plumerias with a diamond cut border, these earrings are beautifully intricate and the perfect piece to wear every day and for special occasions. The ipu dangles dropped down from a ball measuring 0.2 inches in diameter.

Length from ball: 0.87 in
